New Zealand 2012 Day 5 & 6 - Queenstown

Queenstown was the highlight of our trip. There are so many things to do here and the scenery is breathtaking.

 

We had lunch in the most famous restaurant in Queenstown - Ferg Burger. 

We went straight to our hotel after that.

After we checked-in, we were getting ready for our buffet in the Skyline. We bought the package with Kiwi Haka performance as well.

Our morning started with a little drive around the city.

We're supposed to have our white rafting this morning, but the water level was just too high because of the snow the night before. But we managed to do the rafting in the afternoon. This is the hardest rafting you can find in NZ.

For dinner, we looked for the best restaurant in town. We decided to go with Flames, it was recommended by our rafting guide as well. I ordered the tasting plate, the largest portion available here. Most of the well-known restaurants that I called were booked out. Luckily, we got the last spot at Flame, but even that, we got the table at 9 o'clock. We rang them in the afternoon. So, make sure you plan ahead and call them a night or maybe few days before.
